I started painting furniture professionally in 1996 after I finished my Art Degree at Northampton University. I began by working for my father, then started at a local kitchen design company in the finishing department – sanding, painting, lacquering and oiling all the cabinets and work tops by hand.
Since then I have travelled to Australia twice, taught English, worked for Fired Earth as Colour Consultant, designed kitchens and hand drawn the plans as well as continuing to paint kitchens and furniture. It is in my blood and now I am running my own small business full-time.
I use my experience, skills and trade contacts to offer a full package – from initial estimate to site visit and colour consultation, bringing paint samples and supplying drawings if needed, to fixing old cabinets, making new additions or moving and replacing handles, before a full professional painting service transforms your kitchen or piece of furniture.
I am a very proud member of the Traditional Painter Group. Take a look at my ‘about Traditional Painter for Kent’ page for further details on my involvement. I cover Kent but if you are in another county please visit the website to find your local specialist kitchen painter.
Please feel free to contact me – email is usually best – and I will be more than happy to help you with your project, whatever you require.
